Tennis fans have been watching live matches in the sun without having to trek down to Wimbledon.
They’ve been getting feeds on a big screen up at Wapping’s London Dock development.
Children have been splashing in the water feature in Gauging Square while mums and dads are glued to the screen on deckchairs.
The world championship feed runs until July 16 for the men’s final, ending with a “summer in the city” family fun day in the central piazza taking place from 12-4pm.
Activities include giant bubble displays, stilt walking, children’s craft workshops, face-painting — and of course Punch and Judy. It all comes with free candyfloss and ice cream.
New restaurant openings are also on the cards, Urban Baristas and Mother Dough, joining the hub of eateries like Wapping Sourdough, Champagne Route and newly-opened Slurp Noodles.
An outdoor screening of the film Wimbledon, starring Kirstin Dunst, Paul Bettany and Sam Neill, is being shown free this Friday (July 7), 6.30-9pm.
