A child and a woman have been taken to hospital after a crash in Whitechapel.
Police were called to reports of a motorbike crash involving two pedestrians at Whitechapel Road today (November 20) at 3.44pm.
At the scene, medics treated a woman, a child and the rider of a motorcycle.
All three were taken to hospital, however at this moment it is unclear what their conditions are.
Whitechapel Road is blocked with very slow traffic both ways at Brady Street and A107 Cambridge Heath Road.
A detour operation is in place for bus routes 25, 205 and 254.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, 20 November at 15:44hrs police were called to Whitechapel Road, E1 following reports of a collision between a motorcycle and two pedestrians.
“Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a woman, a child, and the rider of the motorcycle at the scene before taking them to hospital. We await an update on their condition.
“Road closures remain in place and enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
