A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder after another man was fatally shot in Bethnal Green.
Muhammad Abbas, from Bradford Road, Kirklees, appeared in Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 7.
This was following his arrest by police on Saturday, October 5.
An investigation was launched after 31-year-old Joshua McLean was shot and killed in Weavers Fields, Wilmot Street on August 6.
Three other men have also been charged with Joshua’s murder.
Nefur Miah, 36, of Redmans Road, Whitechapel, Muhammed Ismail Ali, 37, of Marlborough Road, Romford, and Simeon Oliver-Stewart, 30, of Clevedon Close, Stoke Newington, were charged on September 26, and have already appeared in court.
Police are urging anyone with any further information to come forward by calling 101, quoting CAD 7454/06AUG, or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
