A man who was shot dead in a park has been named by police, who say his family are "devastated."
Joshua McLean, 31, was named today (August 12) as the man fatally shot in Weavers Fields, Bethnal Green, last Tuesday (August 6) after police were called at 8.27pm that day.
A post-mortem exam gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.
London's Air Ambulance had attended with police but Joshua was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, who is leading the investigation, said: “Joshua’s family are understandably devastated and we need to get them the answers they deserve.
"If you can assist us with our enquiries, please do so – no piece of information is too small," she added.
