A bus has crashed into a pedestrian, causing the closure of a major road.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) today (June 18) after reports of a serious crash on the A107 Cambridge Heath Road in Whitechapel.
"Officers and the LAS attended and found a bus in collision with a pedestrian," said a police spokesperson.
The pedestrian struck by the bus was taken to an east London hospital.

Their injuries were deemed not life-threatening or life-changing, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson added.
No arrests have been made.

An emergency incident remains, with the AA website showing delays along Cambridge Heath Road and nearby Mile End Road.
The incident has been active on the AA website since 10.17am this morning and detours remain in operation.
Buses 106 and 254 have been diverted as a result of the crash.
