A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being trapped under a bus following a crash in Mile End in the middle of the night.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Burdett Road and St Pauls Way at 12.03am on June 16, with reports of a crash.
London's Air Ambulance was sent to the crash alongside ambulance crews, and the first paramedics arrived within three minutes of the report coming in.
At the scene, responders discovered a man in his 20s trapped underneath a single-decker bus.
The man was released with the help of firefighters from Poplar, Millwall and Bethnal Green stations.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre.

The crash victim is in a critical condition and his next of kin have been informed.
Police closed roads at the scene of the crash; these were reopened by 5.30am.
A spokesperson for the Met confirmed their enquiries are ongoing.
Transport for London has been contacted for a comment.
