Since 2007 the National Restaurant Awards have set out to celebrate the "brilliance and vibrancy of the UK’s eating out scene" with the annual awards.

Each year, 100 restaurants across the UK are named on the prestigious list and special awards are handed it to the country's best chefs, front-of-house staff and more.

Now, back for 2024, the National Restuarant Awards has seen more than 50 London locations named on the list, with one restaurant taking the top spot.

The list is created using a panel of more than 200 experts from within the food industry, including, food writers, chefs and restaurateurs.

Over 12 months, members of the panel travel across the UK trying out every restaurant before a list of the top 100 in the UK is made.

You can see the full list of winners via the National Restaurant Awards website here.

Taking the top spot in the entire list was The Ledbury in Notting Hill which previously won the same award three years in a row in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Since reopening in 2022, The Ledbury has kept its trusty ethos, as the awards share: "The overall ethos at the Notting Hill restaurant remains the same: namely an obsession with top quality produce; a singular approach to cooking that blends classical and contemporary elements seamlessly together; and - perhaps most importantly - an unusually warm and flexible service style."

The Ledbury, headed by chef Brett Graham uses ingredients of "extremely high quality" with meals including Line Caught Red Mullet and Wild Cornish Sea Bass.

On the online review site Tripadvisor, The Ledbury has an impressive 4.5/5 with three Michelin stars as one guest shares: "All I have to say is died and went to food heaven. The staff are absolutely brilliant, given gifts too. Absolutely brilliant and thank you."

Also on the list was Endo at the Rotunda in Shepherd's Bush which gained 15th place.

The sushi restaurant is set at the top of The Helios building with just 10 seats in the grounds of the former BBC Television Centre.

The National Restaurant Awards described it as "offering something that’s more akin to a theatre performance than a conventional meal."

They add: "No detail is overlooked, with rice and water from a dedicated farm in Japan’s Fukuoka prefecture shipped in, ensuring the cooked rice has the perfect pH so guests can feel each yielding grain on their tongue."
