A major road running through the Isle of Dogs will be closed for months during peak travel times.
From today (June 3), road users travelling along Manchester Road will only be able to do so between limited hours.
The main road will be closed near the southern end from 8am to 6pm on Mondays to Fridays and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays for seven months.

The part closure comes as Thames Water has been granted permission to carry out major water main replacement works along the street.
Tower Hamlets Council has confirmed that the old pipes in the road will be replaced with new stronger plastic pipes, intended to "provide a more reliable service".
