The Table in Southwark offers a dining experience that seamlessly blends contemporary charm with the rich culinary traditions of London.

Nestled near the South Bank and just a short walk from the Tate Modern, this restaurant has garnered a loyal following for its inventive menu and welcoming atmosphere.

I headed to The Table on Saturday and tried their unique brunch menu which is stacked with both sweet and savoury options.

The modern yet cozy décor inside and outside The Table was inviting and featured warm wood accents - many people seemed to be lost in conversation while tucking into their chosen brunch option.

My friend and I enjoyed iced vanilla lattes with oat milk for our refreshments; a personal favourite of mine, this drink not only cures coffee cravings but also satisfies a sweet tooth.

For my main I enjoyed ‘The Long Weekender’ which is priced at £13 and features smashed avocado, two free-range poached eggs, chives, and maple syrup.

East London Advertiser: Rather than boring old bread, customers are given the options to have pancakes or waffles as their base – I chose the waffles.

And if that wasn’t enough, I decided to add smoked streaky bacon to the dish – this was an additional £3.

The Long Weekender was a delightful mix of creamy smashed avocado, perfectly poached eggs, and a hint of sweetness from the maple syrup, all atop a fluffy waffle base.

Vegetarian and vegan diners will also find plenty to love at The Table.

My friend enjoyed the Vegan Pumpkin Pancake for £14, which is made up of pumpkin pancake, coconut yoghurt, caramelised pecans, and plums.

East London Advertiser:

Service at The Table is consistently excellent, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who are always ready to provide recommendations or accommodate special requests.

In summary, The Table in Southwark stands out as a must-visit dining destination in London.
