A car has been destroyed in a fire after a crash near the Blackwall Tunnel.
Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade were dispatched to Blackwall Way at 1.36am yesterday (May 19) after receiving reports of a car on fire.
A spokesperson for the brigade confirmed the fire started after a crash involving two cars.
The crash is believed to have taken place on the A1261 Aspen Way, which runs alongside Blackwall Way.
Two men managed to safely exit the vehicle and the fire was extinguished by 2.06am.

Crews from Poplar, Millwall and Shadwell Fire stations attended, with a fire rescue unit from Islington Fire Station.
The Metropolitan Police were contacted for a comment.
