A supermarket on the Isle of Dogs has been plagued by reported power cuts after experiencing a "technical issue".
The Asda store in East Ferry Road was closed over the weekend of April 27-28 due to a suspected power cut that appeared to affect the entire store and the petrol station.
Shoppers were left confused when they arrived last Saturday to shop, only to find the store closed during its opening hours.
One person took to Facebook to ask what was happening, saying: "Does anybody know what is happening to Asda today? Is it going to be open?"
A spokesperson for Asda said: “I can confirm the store had to temporarily close over the weekend due to a technical issue and we apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.
"We are pleased to confirm that the store has since re-opened and would like to thank our customers for their continued patience whilst we work to get the store running as usual.”
Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade (LFB) were called to the supermarket on Saturday at 4.38pm after smoke was seen rising from the building.
A spokesperson for LFB advised that an automatic fire alarm had been triggered but when they arrived, there was no fire.

The store was reported on social media to have experienced further power cuts on April 30.
One person wrote on Facebook: "Another power cut in Asda. We've been evacuated."
Another wrote: "Asda power just went out again fyi."
The supermarket was contacted for an updated comment but did not respond.
