Passengers on the Central line are facing severe delays after earlier reports of a “casualty on the track”.
TfL said that there was no service on the Tube line between Liverpool Street and Leytonstone just before 9am this morning (February 25).
They said that the closure was in place while “emergency services deal with a casualty on the track” at Bethnal Green.
The station has since re-opened and services have resumed, but there are still severe delays along the whole length of the line. TfL now says this was due to an “earlier customer incident”.
Tickets will be accepted on local buses and Greater Anglia services.
British Transport Police and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for more information about the incident.
