A man’s body has been found by the police inside a van in Bethnal Green.
The vehicle was first discovered on Saturday (February 17) at around 2.12pm at a petrol garage in Cambridge Heath Road near Young V&A museum.
The Mirror had earlier reported that the van had crashed close to the museum, but Met Police has clarified that there has been no crash.

Families with young children were being ushered away from the location of the transit van, the Mirror added, and London Ambulance Service were called to the site.
It further claimed that officers were seen “desperately trying to force open the doors of the van” with firefighters arriving to assist.
A probe has been launched in the incident, and Met Police said officers now believe they know who the deceased is.
The Police are working to inform his next of kin.
At this stage, his death is not being treated as suspicious by detectives.
