A cyclist has been taken to a major trauma centre after a second crash involving police on the same road this week.
The incident occurred in Bethnal Green Road on January 17, just a fortnight after a teenage girl was struck by a police van in the same stretch of road.
The latest crash was reported at 10.32pm, with officers from the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service in attendance.
A picture taken at the scene by a bystander shows impact damage to the front of the police vehicle, particularly to the windscreen.

"Officers alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended the scene, the 36-year-old man’s injuries were assessed and were confirmed as non-life-threatening or changing.
"Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing."
