Two people have sustained stab injuries after an altercation on Christmas day in Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets.
Police were called at around 6.30am on Monday (December 25) to reports of a man assaulted in Brick Lane.
London Ambulance Service and officers attended and rushed a man in his 40s to the hospital for treatment. A woman, also in her 40s, was taken to the hospital after being stabbed too.
Met Police said the man’s injuries are not life threatening and the woman was not seriously injured.
The fight was said to have taken place in the nearby Code Street at around 5.30am.

Officers arrested two men- aged 39 and 42- on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and drug offences in relation to the assault.
Both have since been charged with two counts of GBH and are due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (December 27).
Met Police has issued an appeal calling for witnesses and anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting CAD1249/25Dec.
