A police cordon was seen outside flats in Canary Wharf after a man was hurt in an assault.
Officers from the Met Police attended with the London Ambulance Service in the early hours of November 26 to Ability Place, Millharbour.
One person posted photos of the police tape yesterday morning, adding: "Does anyone know what’s happened at Millharbour?
"I hope everyone is okay I’ve been woken up by some very concerned children who are wondering what’s happened."
A spokesperson for the Met said: "Police and LAS were called to Ability Place, E14 at about 1:37hrs on Sunday 26 November following reports of an assault.
"Officers attended and on arrival located a man aged in his 20s with a head injury.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged."
Police have confirmed no arrests have been made yet in connection with the assault.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
