A person has died after being struck by a train near Stratford train station.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning today (November 9).
A spokesperson from the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to the line near Stratford Railway Station at 00:03am on Thursday 9 November following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
