Pictures from the scene of the discovery of a man's body in the waters of Regents Canal show police forensic teams working nearby.
The Advertiser reported on Friday how the the body of a man believed to be in his 50s was recovered by police near Turners Road, Limehouse, on October 11.
Photos from October 14 show a crime scene in place on the canal side, with police cordons marking off the area the body was found.
The police have cordoned off the towpath either side of the sewer vent chimney.
A forensics tent is also up on the scene, with what appears to be an empty body bag lying close by.
According to the Met, work is underway to confirm his identify and notify his family.
The circumstance of death is being treated by police as unexplained at this time, with further investigation ongoing.
A post-mortem exam will be held in due course.
