Police have confirmed a body has been pulled from the water of Regents Canal.
Officers received a call at 7.11am on October 11 reporting a body in the canal water by Turners Road, Limehouse.
A police spokesperson said: "The body of a man believed to be aged in his 50s was recovered from the water.
"Police are working to confirm his identity and inform next of kin.
"At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained, pending further investigation.
"A post-mortem examination will be held in due course."

Investigations are ongoing.
Facebook users who live in the area have reported seeing "a tent up", with others adding "Regents Canal is taped off by police, they have [a] crime scene. It's been closed for two days now".
