Emergency crews including London's Air Ambulance were scrambled to the knifing of a 15-year-old boy.
Officers received a call on October 5 at 8.32am with reports of a stabbing outside Newton House in Cornwall Street, Shadwell.
Police officers, London's Air Ambulance and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended the incident. The boy was treated on site for knife injuries before being taken by LAS to an east London hospital.
A Met Police spokesperson has confirmed the boy's injuries are not life threatening.
Jai Singh, neighbourhoods superintendent of the Met's Central East Command, said: "I know that the community will be shocked by this incident.
"Please be assured that we share your concerns and we are investigating a number of lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances of the incident and identify those responsible.
“Enhanced patrols will be conducted to reassure the community. If you have concerns please do approach officers.”
No arrests have been made and enquiries are still ongoing.
