A man has been arrested after a car crashed during a police chase.
Metropolitan Police were called at around 11.25pm on Tuesday (August 29) to reports that the occupants of a car in Viaduct Place, Bethnal Green were seen in possession of a knife.
Police said officers attended and attempted to stop the car, but it failed to do so.
A pursuit was authorised and shortly afterwards the vehicle crashed into another car in Stepney Way.

One man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution, but no other injuries were reported.
Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
A video of the incident on social media showed a police cordon in place with a fire engine on site.
