A man has died after being found unwell in Canary Wharf this morning.
London Ambulance Service was called at 6.34am today to reports of a person unwell in Bank Street.
An ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer were deployed to the scene.
Despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The AA reported that Bank Street was closed both ways between Westferry Road and Upper Bank Street for a few hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.

A diversion was in place for bus routes 135, 277 and D7.
There are no further details about the circumstances of the death.
Metropolitan Police has been contacted for more information.
