A woman had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a block of flats in Shoreditch.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to Kerbela Street at 8.56pm on Saturday (June 10).
Part of the balcony on the first floor of the block of studio flats was damaged in the blaze.
London Ambulance Service treated a woman at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The blaze took crews from Bethnal Green, Dowgate and Islington fire stations almost an hour to extinguish, with the incident ending at 9.49pm.
A LFB spokesperson said: “Firefighters tackled a fire on Kerbela Street in Shoreditch on Saturday evening (June 10).
“Part of a balcony at a first floor studio flats was damaged by fire. A woman was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews for smoke inhalation.
“The brigade was called at 8.56pm and the fire was under control by 9.49pm. Crews from Bethnal Green, Dowgate and Islington fire stations attended the scene.”
