The family of a teenage boy who was stabbed to death last year are still trying “to come to terms with their loss”.
Detectives investigating the murder of Shea Gordon have released a new appeal for information after the 17-year-old was killed in Mile End on September 4 last year.
Police said they were called to reports of a disturbance involving a large group in Lichfield Road shortly after midnight.
When officers and the London Ambulance Service attended, they found Shea with stab wounds. The teenager was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers, who is leading the murder investigation, said: “I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or may have information that could help our investigation to please get in contact with us and share what you know.
“Shea’s family are being supported as they try to come to terms with their loss. If you know anything about what happened to Shea that night, do the right thing and get in touch.”
Anyone who witnessed this incident, or who may have any information, should call the Major Incident Room on 020 8345 3715, quoting Operation Wildcast.
Information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
