Over 30 firefighters have attended a flat fire in Bethnal Green that has caused road closures to be put in place.
The London Fire Brigade was called at 3.06pm to the flat in Harpley Square and five engines were sent to the scene.
A spokesperson for the Brigade said: "Part of a four-roomed flat on the fifth and six floors of a residential building was damaged by fire.
"One person left the flat before firefighters arrived.
"There have been no reports of injuries at this time."

The Brigade's 999 Control Officers received nine calls about the fire.
The fire was under control by 3.33pm and crews from Bethnal Green Whitechapel, Shadwell, Poplar and Homerton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

The road was closed on B120 Globe Road both ways between Colebert Avenue and Cephas Street.
A detour was put in operation on bus route 309.
