Twenty years after a 27-year-old artist was found stabbed to death in an east London park, police are again appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Margaret Muller, who had travelled from America to study at the Slade School of Art, University College of London, was discovered collapsed on a pathway in Victoria Park early on February 3 2003.
A post-mortem found her cause of death to be due to multiple stab wounds.
Police continue to appeal to those who were in the park that day, and are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around the Gascoyne Estate.
A spokesperson said police intelligence suggests Margaret may have been the victim of a failed robbery attempt. They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw a person walk past The Britannia pub, previously The Victoria Park Inn, and enter the park through the Queen’s Gate entrance at around 7.10am.

The spokesperson adds witnesses may also recall a person sprinting back through the same entrance towards the Gascoyne Estate between 8.30am and 8.40am.
