The East End will see a number of services and processions to mark Remembrance Day on Sunday.
Saturday, November 8
St Mary’s Church in Bow Road, Bow, will host a service with members of the Tower Hamlets Old Comrades Association. Tea and biscuits from 10am, service starts at 10.30am.
Sunday, November 9
The Merchant Navy memorial will start at 10.30am in Trinity Gardens, Tower Hill. For more information contact 020 7836 8179.
The Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park service will start at 10.30am. It will have 24 The Rifles and Army Cadets in attendance in Southern Grove, Mile End. For more information contact Ken Greenway 07904 186 981.
In the Isle of Dogs, Christ Church’s service will start at 10.45am in Manchester Road, Island Gardens. For more details call Tom Pyke: 020 7538 1766.
In Bethnal Green, St John and Library Memorial will have a service at 10am followed by wreath laying at 10.45 in Cambridge Heath Road, Bethnal Green. For more information contact Rev Alan Green on 020 8980 1742.
