Our kind, loving mother, Barbara Stewart passed away on Tuesday 4 October, surrounded by family. A Tower Hamlets resident for more than 35 years, Barbara was an active member of various local communities and tirelessly dedicated her time to raising awareness of disability rights and benefits, as well as being a proud Hate Crime Champion for the borough. Her legacy shall live on in her 2 daughters, granddaughter, nieces, nephews, brother and sisters. A Celebration of Barbaras Life will be held from 4pm, on Monday 24th October, at the Peter May Centre, 157 Wadham Road, E17 4HR. It was Barbaras wish that people wear vibrant colours to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations towards Barbaras send-off will be graciously received, via: www.poss-ability.org.uk
